Competition is one aspect of being a company member, and is used as a tool to motivate and increase self-confidence. Dance conventions are an excellent way not only to meet other dancers from around the area but to take classes from some of the best instructors from around the world. The benefits of these experiences enhance the students' curriculum and the memories that they share last a lifetime.
The curriculum and faculty offered to our company dancers is second to none in the area. A strong ballet base is an essential part of their training and our ballet director at Faulkner's Dance & Gymnastics has the qualifications to build quality dancers.
Faulkner's Competitive Dance Company is opened to all ages and is directed by Candace Reid. The dance company consists of competition teams and recreational teams that vary based on ability levels, age, dance experience and knowledge. Dancers are required to audition for all company and recreation teams. There are various levels and ages available. Faulkner's Dance Company performs in two or three dance competitions per year plus the annual dance recital. Faulkner's Dance Company also participates in several community events throughout the year that include nursing homes, grand openings, senior centers, fairs carnivals, festivals to name a few.
